The Alberta International Airshow, formerly known as Edmonton Airshow, takes place each August at The Villeneuve Airport (north west of Edmonton) about 20 km (66 feet) west of St. Albert. You can see pilots perform loops, spins and dives. You will be shivering at their maneuvers! In the sky of Villeneuve, you can see monster trucks, bombers, and dogfighting planes. Visitors can watch dogfights between a T-33 and two Russian MiGs, as well as an FJ-4 Fury and two Russian MiGs. The CC-130J Hercules drops 40 parachutists from the 3rd Canadian Princess Patricia's Light Infantry. The Alberta International Airshow attracts 20,000 spectators every year. It includes interactive displays, inflatables, a food truck village, a beer garden and FMX freestyle performances. Alberta International Airshow includes motorcycle stunts and exotic cars.
