The Local Treasurers' Seminar is an ATA-hosted professional-development event for new and existing local treasurers. Its purpose is to provide specific skills training for the treasurer role within ATA locals, covering the duties and expectations attached to the position.
The seminar is an annual fixture on the association's events calendar. The two previous editions were held at the same venue: Friday, May 22, 2026 and Friday, May 23, 2025, both at Barnett House in Edmonton. The next edition is scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2027, again at Barnett House, Edmonton.
Registration details and the programme for the 2027 edition had not yet been published on the association's event page at the time of checking; the page lists the date, the venue and the TEMS contact address only.
Note on venue access: the ATA's website carries a service notice stating that Barnett House in Edmonton was affected by severe flooding and would remain closed until early 2027, with staff working remotely in the interim. The 2027 seminar date falls after that closure window.
