Festival of Motoring Johannesburg

The Festival of Motoring (FoM), organised by Messe Frankfurt South Africa, is South Africa's largest industry-supported auto show and one of the most significant automotive events on the African continent. The 10th edition takes place 27-29 August 2027 at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Midrand, Johannesburg.

The conference brings together the entire supply chain: brand owners and retailers; suppliers of packaging solutions and components; suppliers of machinery and technology; suppliers of raw material and additives; recyclers and sustainability experts; regulators, testing and certification agencies; and academics and researchers.

The festival is organised into four zones. The Green Zone is the main pit building, home to the automotive exhibition, the FoM VIP Hospitality Suite, complimentary OEM track drives and hot laps. The Blue Zone is dedicated to the 4x4 off-road experience. The Yellow Zone hosts the handling track, the Motorsport Village with the Sunbet ZX10 Master Cup for superbikes and the Vilaca Speed Challenge, plus drifting and karting. The Red Zone is the social hub with a food court, live entertainment and interactive displays.

The most recent festival brought together 123 exhibitors and 24 vehicle brands, with visitors from 261 South African towns and cities and 24 countries represented. More than 40 pit doors are supported by leading vehicle manufacturers and importers, letting visitors get close to the latest vehicles, automotive technology, products and services, custom builds and lifestyle offerings.

Tickets are sold online through Howler and at the door. A complimentary Park and Ride shuttle runs from Mall of Africa, using the promo code FOM27 on the Admyt app, with pickup and drop-off at entrances 6 and 8. Limited parking is also available at the venue. 2027 ticket pricing will be announced by the organiser.
